Crown Pips
Terms

Software licence terms.

The rules for using the Crown Pips EA and dashboard, in plain English. Version 0.2, 20 October 2026.

Draft — to be reviewed by a lawyer. These terms are not yet in force. Items in [brackets] still have to be filled in.

1. Who we are

Crown Pips ("we") is operated by [company name], [legal form], registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number [KvK number], [address], the Netherlands. Contact: support@crownpips.com.

2. What you get

Every plan gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the following — on the 1-month and 3-month plans for as long as your plan runs, and on a lifetime licence as described in section 7:

  • the Crown Pips Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 5, on up to 2 live and 2 demo MT5 accounts that you own or control;
  • the algorithms in the Crown Pips library, as published on crownpips.com;
  • the web dashboard at app.crownpips.com, including AI and human support for the software.

The Pro Trader add-on (when available) adds copy-trading functionality under extra terms shown before you add it.

3. What it isn't

Crown Pips is software. We do not provide investment advice or recommendations, we do not manage your account or portfolio, we do not receive or hold your money, and we never ask for your broker password. You decide whether to use the software, which algorithm, on which account and with which settings, and you can stop it at any time. Read the risk disclaimer.

4. Your responsibilities

  • You are at least 18 and allowed to use trading software and leveraged products where you live. The software is not available where it is prohibited.
  • You keep your MT5 terminal, computer or VPS, internet connection and broker account working, and set up the EA correctly for your broker.
  • You test on a demo account before you use real money, and you choose risk settings you can afford.
  • You keep your licence and connection keys private and don't share, resell or sublicense them.
  • You don't copy, decompile, reverse-engineer or modify the EA, or use the software to provide services to others.

5. Beta and changes

Algorithms marked beta are new. We may improve, change, pause or retire algorithms, the EA and the dashboard. If a change materially reduces what you pay for, we tell you in advance and you may cancel. The published rules of an algorithm are updated on its page before a change takes effect.

6. Plans, fees and the founding price

Crown Pips Algo comes in three plans with the same software: 1 month for $49 (renews every month), 3 months for $99 (renews every 3 months) and a lifetime licence for a single payment of $997 (see section 7). The Pro Trader add-on costs +$199 a month on top and is not part of any plan. Prices are in US dollars and include any VAT or sales tax that applies. Orders are sold via Link (by Stripe), which processes the payment, issues the receipt and handles VAT or sales tax for your country. On the 1-month and 3-month plans, the price you join at stays locked in while your plan continues without interruption.

7. Lifetime licence

A lifetime licence is a single payment of $997, with no renewals.

  • Lifetime of the product, not of the buyer. "Lifetime" means for as long as Crown Pips offers the Crown Pips Algo software (the EA, the algorithm library and the dashboard). It is not a promise for the rest of your life.
  • What's included. Every algorithm in the library, including new ones as they're released, the EA, the dashboard and their updates, for as long as we offer them.
  • Same limits. The same limits and terms apply as on the other plans, including up to 2 live and 2 demo MT5 accounts that you own or control.
  • Personal and non-transferable. A lifetime licence is for you only. You can't sell, give away, share or transfer it.
  • Pro Trader is not included. The Pro Trader add-on is not part of a lifetime licence.
  • If Crown Pips stops. If we ever stop offering the software, we tell lifetime licence holders by e-mail reasonably far in advance [notice period, and what happens if the business is transferred — to be confirmed by the lawyer].
  • Ending early. We may only end a lifetime licence early for the reasons in section 11.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel the 1-month or 3-month plan any time; it then ends at the end of the period you paid for and is not renewed. A lifetime licence is a single payment and doesn't renew, so there is nothing to cancel. [Statutory withdrawal right for consumers (EU 14 days) and how it applies to immediately delivered digital content — to be confirmed by the lawyer.]

9. Availability

We aim for the dashboard and licence service to be available around the clock but can't guarantee it. If our service is unreachable, the EA keeps managing open trades; stop loss and take profit sit at your broker.

10. Liability

Trading results are your own. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, missed trades, broker or platform problems, or indirect damage. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim [how this applies to a lifetime licence — to be reviewed]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Wording to be reviewed.]

11. Ending access

We may suspend or end your licence if you break these terms, share or resell keys, or use the software where it is prohibited. You can close your account at any time.

12. Privacy

How we handle your data, including what the EA sends from MT5, is in the privacy statement.

13. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in [city], unless consumer law gives you the right to go to the court where you live. [To be reviewed.]
